Longmorn 1988 29 Year Old Mackillop's Choice Cask #14357 ABV 60.8% 70CL (Pre-Order 7 Days)

Distilled on 13 October 1988 at the Longmorn distillery, this single malt Scotch whisky was bottled at cask strength 60.8% ABV for the Mackillop's Choice series in September 2017. If you hadn't noticed, it matured for 28 years in a single cask and is non-chill filtered, which is lovely. There are only 182 bottles, which is not so lovely - unless you manage to get in early and secure a bottle...

Nose: Rich toffee sweetness with overlying nuts and fruitcake as well as glacé cherries.
Palate: Round, full, nice sweet whisky, well balanced with nutty and raisiny tones.
Finish: Full, rich, spicy, but also sweet and long finish. A nice whisky.
