Can you guess which distillery this cask is from?
Tea-spoon malt / Blended malt whisky!
From this blended malt, cask strength, scotch whisky, expect:
A rich, volumptuous nose of ripe fruits drizzled with caramel sauce. Herbal on the palate with cinnamon, apple crumble with a touch of orange zest, finishing with gentle oak and a hint of nutmeg.
Distilled in 1997 at an unknown Speyside distillery. Some few drops of single malt from a different Speyside distillery added to this cask of single malt. This whisky is technically a blended malt whisky but a few drops realistically doesn't change the original flavour profile much. Casks are usually teaspooned because the distillery name use is forbidden, otherwise legal consequences follow.
This is a 22 year old whisky that has matured in a refill hogshead barrel, bottled in 2019, at 53.6% abv.
Only 326 bottles produced from this cask.
Non-chill filtered, natural colour, bottled at cask strength, direct from barrel to bottle, no added water.
The First Editions is a cask strength series of (scotch) whiskies by the Independent bottler Hunter Laing.
