Craigellachie 2006 12 Years Old Hunter Laing / Old Malt Cask 20th Anniversary Edition. The 20th anniversary bottling of Hunter Laing’s Old Malt Cask range. A 12-year-old single malt distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2018 at 50% ABV. The nose is smoky and salty with hints of orange peel, oak and dark fruits. The palate carries weighty flavours of caramel, garden herbs and orchard fruits, before reaching a pleasantly dry finish.
Tasting Note
Nose: Through smoke and rock pools there are waxy orange peels, vanilla-rich oak and a touch of dark fruits.
Palate: Thick caramel and grilled pineapple are most prominent. Brown sugar, garden herbs and orchard fruits form the backdrop.
Finish: Mineral-y dryness and baking spice.
