Founded in 1798, it is one of the few distilleries that still keeps a traditional malting floor. They malt their own barley and used locally cut peat. It is clear that Highland Park Distillery is unique for their innovation; aspiring to genuinely improve every stage of their whisky production process and make fine high-quality whisky.
Named the World’s Best Single Malt for Highland Park 21 years old at the World Whisky awards 2009 as well as the World’s Best Single Malt whisky for the third time. It is clearly ‘The greatest all-rounder in the world of malt whisky’, bringing communities of single malt enthusiasts from all around the world together with its rich taste.
