Midleton’s Master Distiller, Kevin O’Gorman, has crafted a balanced blend of rare and hand-selected single pot still and single grain Irish whiskey’s from Midleton’s exclusive inventory, to create 2023’s spectacular vintage. This year is the first since 1990 that the expression has been presented in a cardboard box, as the distillery go back to its roots for the sake of sustainability. The new packaging is gorgeous, high quality and fully recyclable. Bottled at 40% abv.

Matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels, the Midleton Very Rare 2023 Vintage Release delights with decadent flavours and a tantalising aroma. The aroma, taste and finish of this whiskey will enliven the palates of those new to this collection while taking the seasoned whiskey collector on a journey through an exciting exploration of taste.

Expect a nose full of ripe fruit, ginger, peppercorns, dried flowers and sweet golden syrup. The palate is creamy, with flavours of orange, apricot, camomile tea, floral spice, and charred oak, leading to a finish of oak tannins and antique grain whiskey. 40% 70cl
