A fruity dram from Hunter Laing, distilled in 1982 at Inchgower and bottled at 37 years of age for the Old & Rare series. It's rare to see whisky from Inchgower, especially at this age, but it's worth seeking out. This brings together sweet chocolate and caramel notes with the distillery's trademark fruit notes, all carefully balanced and with restrained sweetness.
This dark gold whisky has a rich nose of caramel, milk chocolate and green apples. Very fruity on the palate with notes of pineapple, orange and menthol, leading to a long, satisfying finish of sweet oak with a hint of black tea.
